Everything You Need to Know About Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE and Tab S11 Series
Samsung has officially unveiled its newest affordable smartphone, the Galaxy S25 FE, along with two new tablets in the Galaxy Tab S11 series. You can get your hands on these new devices right now directly from Samsung’s website. The Galaxy S25 FE starts at $649.99, while the premium Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will cost you at least $1,199.99.
The Galaxy S25 FE looks and feels a lot like its predecessor, the S24 FE. It features a stunning 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and comes with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The camera system is mostly the same, with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The only notable change is the front-facing camera, which has been upgraded to a 12MP sensor. Battery life should be a bit better thanks to a slightly larger 4,900mAh battery, and it now supports faster 45W wired charging, a big improvement from the old 25W standard. Under the hood, it’s powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 chip. When it comes to colors, Samsung has moved away from the bright, pastel colors of the past and is offering more subdued options like dark gray, white, navy blue, and a subtle “Icy Blue.”
For tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a decent step up from last year’s Tab S10 Ultra. The huge 14.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is still there, but the device now runs on the newer MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chip. You’ll find the same RAM and storage choices: 12GB RAM for the 256GB and 512GB versions, and a massive 16GB RAM for the 1TB model. A nice bonus is that you can now expand the storage with a microSD card up to 2TB, a jump from the previous 1.5TB limit. The battery is also a little bigger, now at 11,600mAh.
Samsung also brought out a new, more accessible tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11. This one replaces the larger 12.4-inch Tab S10 Plus with a more compact 11-inch form factor. It boasts a sharp 11-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a very bright 1,600 nits peak brightness. The S11 comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options from 128GB to 512GB, which can be expanded to 2TB with a microSD card. It has an 8,400mAh battery that also supports 45W fast wired charging and is available in gray and silver.
While the S25 FE is a solid choice for a mid-range phone, it’s facing tough competition from devices like the Google Pixel 9a, which is priced much lower at $499. On the other hand, Samsung’s new tablets are still a fantastic option for anyone looking for a powerful Android tablet, even with the shift to a smaller, more affordable model and the discontinuation of the 12.4-inch size.
