Here’s the List of Islamabad Hotels That Can Serve You Alcohol

The Interior Ministry has just told the National Assembly that four major hotels in Islamabad have been given special permission to sell alcohol. These hotels are the Marriott, Serena, Best Western, and Mövenpick.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi provided these details in a written response during a parliamentary session. He explained that a hotel must pay a one-time fee of Rs. 500,000 to get the license for the first time. After that, the license needs to be renewed every year for a fee of Rs. 150,000.

There are also strict rules they must follow. Hotels must keep the alcoholic drinks completely separate from other goods. They also have to inform the proper authorities within seven days whenever a new shipment of liquor arrives. Perhaps the most surprising condition is that an excise officer can cancel the license at any time without needing to give a specific reason.
