Looking for a Government Job? Over 3,000 Police Constable Positions Just Opened Up!
Great news for anyone looking for a stable government job! The government has just announced a major recruitment drive for the Federal Constabulary, and it’s a big one. They’re looking to hire 3,229 new Police Constables (BPS-07).
The best part? These jobs are open to both men and women from every corner of the country, including all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
So, do you have what it takes? Here’s a simple breakdown of what they’re looking for:
- Age: You need to be between 18 and 22 years old.
- Education: An Intermediate certificate (FA/FSc or an equivalent) from a recognized board is required.
- Physical Fitness: This is a key part. For men, the minimum height is 5 feet 6 inches, and for women, it’s 5 feet 4 inches. Men will also need a chest measurement between 33 and 35 inches.
- Running Test: You’ll have to complete a 1,600-meter run. Men need to finish it in 7 minutes, while women get 9 minutes.
To make sure everyone gets a fair shot, the jobs are divided based on a regional quota. The four major provinces (Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan) each get a 20% share of the seats. The rest are divided between Azad Jammu and Kashmir (10%), Gilgit-Baltistan (6%), and Islamabad (4%).
If you apply, the selection process has three main steps. First, you’ll do the physical test for height, chest, and running. If you pass that, you’ll move on to a written exam with multiple-choice questions. The final stage is an interview, where they will also check all your original documents.
A quick heads-up: make sure you have all your original papers ready, like your CNIC, domicile, and educational certificates, as you’ll need to show them during the process. Those who are selected will be provided with uniforms and the necessary equipment.
