Pakistan’s Gold Market Hits Unprecedented Levels, Nearing PKR 400,000 per Tola
Gold prices in Pakistan have once again reached a historic high, with the cost of a single tola of 24-karat gold nearing the milestone of Rs. 400,000. This significant jump marks a continued upward trend in the precious metal’s value across the country.
Reports from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association indicate that on Tuesday, the price for a tola of 24-karat gold increased by a notable Rs. 4,100. This brought the new rate to Rs. 388,100, up from the previous day’s closing price of Rs. 384,000.
The surge wasn’t limited to just a tola. The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a considerable rise, moving up by Rs. 3,514 to a new figure of Rs. 332,733. Previously, it stood at Rs. 329,219. Similarly, 22-karat gold also experienced a price hike, increasing by Rs. 3,222 to a cost of Rs. 305,016, a jump from its former price of Rs. 301,794.
Silver also followed this pattern of increase. The cost of a tola of 24-karat silver went up by Rs. 20 to Rs. 4,358, and 10 grams of silver now cost Rs. 3,736, a rise of Rs. 17.
Globally, the value of silver also climbed, with prices per ounce increasing by $0.20 to a new rate of $41.25.
