Want to Join the Sindh Police? A Massive Recruitment for 2,000 ASIs is on the Way.
Some big news for law enforcement in Sindh: the provincial government has just given the go-ahead to hire 2,000 new Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs).
This decision was locked in during a major meeting on Friday, led by Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah and attended by the IG of Sindh Police. These new recruits are being brought in specifically to beef up the police’s investigation wing. The main goal is to strengthen the police’s ability to solve crimes, which officials hope will lead to faster justice and build more trust with the public.

The Chief Secretary emphasized that having skilled investigators is crucial for getting crime under control. He said this move would help ensure that criminal investigations are more thorough and professional. He’s also pushed his team to clear any hurdles so the hiring process can start as soon as possible.
The IG of Sindh agreed, adding that bringing in fresh talent will directly improve the quality of police work and help them take tougher action against criminals.
In related news, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sindh is also sharpening its tools. The department just released an updated version of its “Grey Book,” which is a high-priority list of the province’s most-wanted criminals. The new edition now features detailed profiles of 81 dangerous suspects wanted for serious crimes like murder, kidnapping for ransom, and armed robberies.
This updated list will be shared with all law enforcement units to help them track down and arrest these high-profile criminals, marking a clear effort to tackle crime from all angles.
