Your Medical School Dream Starts Now: Key Dates and Fee Hike for MDCAT 2025 Revealed

The registration timeline for the MDCAT 2025 has been officially released, a vital announcement for all students hoping to get into medical and dental schools.

Starting tomorrow, prospective candidates can begin signing up for the MDCAT exam through the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) official online portal. The standard registration period runs until August 25. For those who miss this initial window, a late registration option is available with an increased fee until September 1.

There has been a slight increase in the registration cost this year. The standard fee for applicants within Pakistan is now Rs. 9,000, up from Rs. 8,500 last year. If you register late, the fee jumps to Rs. 13,000. For international students taking the test in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the regular fee is Rs. 45,000, and the late fee is Rs. 55,000. The MDCAT examination itself is scheduled for Sunday, October 5th.

The test will be managed by different universities across the country. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences will be in charge. Sukkur IBA University will handle the exam in Sindh. Khyber Medical University will be the host in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Bolan Medical University will conduct the test in Balochistan. This regional approach ensures the smooth administration of this crucial entry test.
